Henrique Oliveira is an Artist I used as part of my C&C. What interested me in Henriques work was the fact he uses recycled plywood from construction sites. Henrique takes the weathered plywood and stripes them down separating the layers where he can. This technique enables him to stretch, bend and flex each strip to form these weird root like forms in his installations. Like me, Henrique is interested in the pre made patterns and shades he finds in the plywood. He uses these natural patterns to influence his next step and what form he should make.
